Tyson Illingworth, known professionally as tyDi, is an Australian music producer and DJ. He made his career debut in 2009 with his first album, Shooting Stars.

Early lifeEdit

Tyson was born in Queensland, Australia, in 1987. He became keen on dance music, particularly trance, when he was around 14 years old.[1] At first his parents were not okay with it, however, so they bought him a drum set, though he eventually sold it for DJ equipment.[2]

When Tyson was 16, he began entering competitions under his school nickname "tydi", which became "tyDi" following a printing error on an ad postcard. After being the last person in his family to leave home,[2] he began touring Australia.

  • Tyson has 3 older sisters, two of which are twins.[2]
